David’s plan for Westchester
- Invest in high-quality daycare centers to give every community and a every family a chance to succeed, and fund a new Children’s Museum in Valhalla.
- Work with Westchester Community College to provide funding for job training programs to ensure that everyone has access to high quality jobs.
- Take advantage of the historic bipartisan bills passed in Washington to invest in our infrastructure.
- Continue his work to expand senior citizen services, including better access to affordable, healthy meals and community-based support.
A LEADER IN HIS FIELD
David Vinjamuri teaches marketing to graduate students at NYU, runs ThirdWay Brand Trainers and has reached over 1 million readers in his Forbes column online. He’s also a nationally recognized expert on public libraries who wrote the guide on public library space planning for the American Library Association. He has worked with Library Journal and the Public Library Association to train thousands of librarians in hundreds of libraries nationally.
A TRUE PUBLIC SERVANT
David is the kind of public servant every community wants at the table. He found his way into public service accidentally, when he felt his village wasn’t getting a good deal from a local developer. When the pandemic threatened to cancel Halloween, David personally organized the Village and School Board members to do a reverse trick-or-treat – delivering 7,000 pieces of candy to village kids in their own front yards – many from his orange Jeep.
A DRIVEN PROBLEM SOLVER
So many local governments are starved for policy and planning experts who are driven to get into the weeds and sweat the details, but that’s who David is. The son of an immigrant from India who had to start college over in the US and practiced his English in the mirror every day, David brings a hardworking ethos with him to his current role as a Village Trustee. That determination will be an asset for Westchester County.
